Use of the calculator
The calculator and the accompanying guides are provided for general informational purposes. You may use them freely to estimate take-home pay, compare states, and convert between pay frequencies. The tool runs entirely in your browser and does not require an account.
Not tax advice
Nothing on this site is tax, legal, or financial advice. The estimates model regular income tax, FICA, and state income tax using fixed 2026 rates, but they do not capture every deduction, credit, or circumstance that affects a real return or paycheck. For decisions with real money behind them, consult a qualified tax professional or your employer’s payroll department. Reliance on this site is at your own risk.
Accuracy and updates
We work to keep rates current and correct, refreshing federal and state parameters at the start of each tax year. Tax law changes, and we cannot guarantee the estimate matches your final liability or withholding in every situation. If you find an error, please tell us through the contact page so we can fix it.

AfterTaxSalary and its operators are not liable for any loss or consequence arising from use of the estimates. We do not warrant that the calculator is error-free or uninterrupted. In no event will we be responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages connected to the use of this site. This limitation applies to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Intellectual property
The text, design, and calculation logic on this site are provided for your personal use. You may reference the results, but the site’s content and code may not be redistributed commercially without permission. State and federal tax rates themselves are public legal figures and are not owned by anyone.
